Hot Pepper Hot Pad

Rosy Pot Holders

These pot holders are crocheted with cotton worsted-weight yarn and a size H crochet hook.  The pattern is called "Rosy Pot Holders" and was published in "Vanna's Afghan and Crochet Favorites" (Oxmoor House, Inc. 1997) and also published in "The Best of Leisure Arts" (date unknown) under the title "Rose Petal Pot Holders."  The pattern can be frequently found for sale on eBay and on Etsy.

Hello Kitty! Hot Pad

This is a hot pad to use with pots, platters or hot casserole dishes on the table, made in the likeness of "Hello Kitty" that I made as a gift for a friend.  I searched the Internet for patterns of different types, and then used a compilation to make this hot pad.  The hot pad is two layers, with the facial details on the front layer only.

Este es una almohadilla para usar con ollas, platos, o casuelas calientes en la mesa, hecho en el estilo "Hello Kitty."  La hice como regalo para una amiga.  Busqué en el Internet diferentes instrucciones para diferentes tejidos, y luego al estudiar esas instrucciones hice esta almohadilla.  La almoadilla está compuesta de dos capas, con los detalles de la cara solamente en la primera capa.
